About The GloStory

The GloStory is a collection of timeless pieces inspired by culture, travel, craftsmanship, and the beauty of personal expression.

Created by Gloria, The GloStory began as a way to bring together the things that have always inspired her — fashion, Caribbean influence, artistry, and the stories we carry with us.

Each chapter of The GloStory introduces pieces created with intention, designed to be experienced, worn, and remembered.

The Story Behind The GloStory

For Gloria, fashion has always been part of the family story.

She grew up in a home where creativity was woven into everyday life. Her mother, grandmother, and uncles all had a natural ability to create beautiful pieces, and from an early age, Gloria found herself drawn into that world. She spent countless hours in her mother's sewing room, watching, learning, helping—and eventually creating pieces of her own.

Her mother was always quick to remind her that sewing was not without its dangers. Gloria learned that lesson firsthand when a sewing needle found its way into her finger—not once, but twice. Some lessons, apparently, have to be learned the hard way.

Her relationship with fashion continued to grow in Barbados, where she further developed her craft and eventually built a loyal clientele on the island. Designing and creating became a meaningful part of her life.

After moving to the United States, however, life took her in a different direction, and over time, she stepped away from the craft that had once been such an important part of her identity.

But the story didn't end there.

Years later, people who had seen Gloria's designs began asking her to recreate pieces they remembered and admired. Their requests became a reminder of something she had never truly lost—the ability to create, and the love for fashion that had been with her all along.

The GloStory is, in many ways, a return to that beginning.

It is an opportunity to create again, to honor the craftsmanship that shaped her, and to bring together the influences that have followed her throughout her life—from her Caribbean roots to her experiences, travels, and evolving sense of style.

Each piece is part of a larger story. And each chapter is an invitation to make it your own.
